867 comic book fiends dress up as the Man of Steel to smash the world record at the Lake District Festival.

Kendal Calling’s festivalgoers combined this weekend to do something superhuman, well at least doffing their cap to it anyway. Just shy of 900 of them, a whopping 867 in total, were counted sporting the infamous red and blue outfit immortally associated with Clark Kent’s alter ego, Superman.
The attempt, which beat the previous world record by more than 300, was done to aid Help for Heroes and resulted in over £1000 being raised for the charity, not to mention an eye-catching stunt that will boost the awareness of them. The festival itself boasted for the part glorious sunshine, and a further continuation of its status as one of the most loved boutique gatherings on the circuit.
