Kendrick Lamar drops new album

We're not sure whether eight tracks and 34 minutes in length is more reflective of an EP, but either way we've woken up to new music form Kendrick Lamar. Streaming now on Spotify (below), it delves into the huge swathes of new music Lamar has been premièring over talk show appearances these past few months and is, on first listen, pretty special.

One of the beats is apparently produced by the five year old son of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, but overall it seems to be raiding the same myriad of influences that made the nearly year old To Pimp a Butterfly such an absorbing influence.
