There's few artists capable of dance music as sublime as the stuff King Britt has knocked out. His grooves are crammed with sophistication and elegance aplenty, from his evergreen Ibiza anthem refashioning of Josh One's 'Contemplation' to the serene revision he did of H-Foundation's 'Tonight' (below).
Beyond his house music output, he was initially in hip hop group Digibale Planets and has worked with fellow Philadelphia residents Josh Wink, The Roots rapper Dice Raw and Ursula Rucker as well Alison Moyet, De La Soul and Martin Fry of ABC.
It's rare that he makes it to these shores these days, but Saturday October 17th he's off to Shapes in London for one of his sumptuous excursions through house, techno, jazz and much more - check his Boiler Room set below for an indication of what to expect.
Support on the night comes from Thris Tian and tickets go on sale at 10am Thursday 30th July. Head here to secure your King Britt @ Shapes tickets.
