Coronation Celebration - Olympic Way

When: Saturday 6th May 2023

Where: Olympic Way in London

As part of the Coronation celebrations, the iconic walkway leading up to Wembley Stadium, Olympic Way (also known as Wembley Way), will be renamed to its original name, King's Way, for the whole month of May, and when the Saturday of the Coronation comes, the whole walkway will come alive with celebration.

On the day, you can watch the Coronation ceremony on a giant screen from deck chairs positioned in front of the National Stadium. There will also be live entertainment on stage, including music performances curated by Busk in London. And of course, they'll be plenty of Union Jack-themed decorations, flags, and other free party freebies to help you get in the spirit!

Alongside the celebrations, they'll also be a whole load of stuff to munch, sip, and play with. they'll be a pop-up food market operated by Shoreditch-based Urban Food Fest, which will have picnic tables and a variety of street food options from cake pops to pizza and gourmet burgers; a bar for off you frothy beverages; and even a family area, fit with face painters, magicians, stilt walkers, and life-sized board games like Jenga and other fun activities for the littleuns to enjoy.

This one isn't ticketed but will be busy, so get down early to secure your spot to watch history unfold!

Coronation Party ft The Brass Funkeys & DJ Northern Boy

Where: The Magic Garden in London

if you fancy ditching the traditional festivities and celebrating the Coronation in your favourite way (raving and dancing, duh?), then this party at London's Magic Garden should be among your first choices. With a huge party soundtracked by the enviably groovy Brass Funkys and the passionate purveyor of uplifting, soulful, jazzy, funky beats DJ Northern Boy, as well as a DIY paper crown competition (the winner of which wins a secret grand prize); it looks like it's going to be one hell of a night to celebrate the crown being placed on Charles's head.
