The first names on the Knockengorroch World Ceilidh festival line up have been announced. Some of the artists confirmed to play in Galloway later this year include the likes of Cut Chemist, Transglobal Underground and Les Amazones d'Afrique amongst many others. The festival consistently brings some of the world's most diverse artists to Scotland, with this years line up having travelled from countries far and wide, including America, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Japan and Ghana, to name a few.
The festival will take place over the bank holiday weekend of Thursday 24th May - Sunday 27th May 2018, when it will take over the ancient village South West Scotland village.
As well as the musical entertainment, Knockengorroch offers spoken word, cabaret, comedy, spoken word and dance performances as well as a sauna, children's activities and arts and crafts workshops. Food and craft ale stores will be on hand to provide refreshment.
