The organisers behind Bluedot Festival have confirmed that Kraftwerk will headline next year's event, bringing their 3D show to the UK for a festival first.
Forming in 1970, the group were part of West Germany's experimental 'krautrock' scene, taking on a more electronic pop sound during the latter part of the decade. Not only did they directly inspire synth-pop groups of the 80s, their influence is cited across practically every genre of modern music, from post-punk to techno.

Set against the mesmerising backdrop of Jodrell Bank's Lovell Telescope in the depths of the Cheshire countryside, the festival consistently boasts one of the most eclectic and diverse line ups - the first announcement guarantees more of the same for next year.
