Ahead of playing Ritual this Saturday, Kydus hand picks his favourite tracks from 2016 - from big basslines to mega grooves to his own productions.

It's been a good year for music, particularly on the dance music front, and as we approach the end of 2016 it makes sense for us to get a recap from an artist who has visited plenty of dancefloors over the past 12 months - Kydus.
The Liverpool DJ and producer has played at Ministry Of Sound, Vista Club and Razzmatazz to name just a few clubbing hot spots, all the while releasing some killer tracks on Circus Recordings, Toolroom and Suara.
Here are the ten tracks which have made Kydus' sets this year, as picked by him...
Peak time groover for me, something I tend to drop mid set to break things up it up a bit.
A real peak-time monster on a build up set for me, I’ve always been a fan of tribal house and for me there isn’t enough of it around.
I heard this first being championed by Yousef, the effect this track has on any dance floor is incredible. Anything Butch touched this year turned to gold! Amazing Track.
Second track on the link, it's a real groover from my friend Charles, and something that's been in my sets past few months.
This has got a real 80s vibe I feel from Dennis, dark moody vocal and a groove that rocks dance floor after dance floor.
The bassline says it all for me on this track.
A track I have been starting some of my sets with the past year, big break and big builder.
Plain and simple “groover”, it works every time.
Considering how well 'Boomtang' did this year I think it's only fair it makes my top ten tracks of 2016.
Again, I can’t let a track of my own slip considering it gave me my third Essential New Tune with Pete Tong on Radio 1!
Kydus plays at Ritual's event at Egg London on Saturday 3rd December. Tickets are available below.
