LeeStock returns for its seventh year on May 24th. Following on from the irrefutable success of last year's edition, which saw Cast's John Power, Welsh alt rockers Space, The Bluetones' Mark Morriss and Eastbourne four piece Toploader headline it's biggest incarnation yet, 2014 sees the Suffolk festival enlist the supreme rock talents of Liverpool's very own The Lightning Seeds for headline duties.
Being set up back in 2008 as a tribute to the memory of a close friend who battled against a rare disease, the not for profit, charity based festival has so far raised a staggering total of £40,000 for the Willow Foundation. What's more, the festival itself has found its way into the hearts of many around the country with its notoriously chilled, feel good atmosphere, as well as featuring a discerning selection of top rock and indie bands.
The Lightning Seeds with their series of chart storming releases, particularly during the 90's are the first to be announced in LeeStock's 2014 line up. Tracks like 'Lucky You' (above), 'Marvellous' and 'Pure' are perfect festival anthems, whilst their ubiquitous Euro '96 and later World Cup '98 chart topper 'Three Lions' is guaranteed to whip the crowd up into a sing-a-long, good-spirited frenzy.
More line up announcements are just around the corner for the Sudbury based festival, which is looking in great shape for a cracking 2014 installment.
