We've long been big fans of Let It Bleed. Responsible for bringing the shining lights of both mainstream and underground electronic dance music to various venues around Aberdeen, Let It Bleed has carved for itself a real name, chiselled with quality bookings. It's run of October nights only serves to solidify that reputation.

Jackmaster October 24th

A true DJs DJ, the insane skills of Glaswegian selector Jackmaster are a fine addition to any party. His wildly eclectic, anything goes approach gives his sets a real element of surprise, as he shows a real knack for connecting genres at opposite ends of the spectrum to create sets brimming with energy.

Having torn up venues like London's Fabric and techno temple Berghain, the longstanding Numbers family member continues to be one of the most exciting and unpredictable forces in British dance music (check out his back to back with Loefah in the Boiler Room above). Expect to be well and truly in awe when Let It Bleed and Hush Hush bring him to NOX on October 24th. Bag your tickets here.

Erol Alkan October 31st

In charge of Let It Bleed's Halloween party at The Forum will be Phantasy Sound boss and all round electro icon Erol Alkan. The British trailblazer has been big figure in the underground since the mid nineties, partly through his now legendary club Trash which boasted appearances by the likes of Peaches, LCD Soundsystem, Bloc Party and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but also through his work as a DJ which lead to a Best British Breakthrough DJ award back from Muzik Magazine back in 2003.

Since then Erol has been delving further into the sounds of electro, house and techno through his imprint Phantasy Sound, which has starred work by everyone from Boys Noize to Daniel Avery. Having just released his Fabriclive mix, an album crammed with the full spectrum of underground sounds (hear some of his Fabric Live set above), Erol is clearly at the height of his powers - his Halloween set will be nothing short of brilliant.
