With regret we have to announce that Marquise Knox will not be appearing as planned at Linton Festival Sat June 22nd. He has cancelled his entire summer European tour for reasons unknown. This is very disappointing for those of us that plan the music as Marquise is one of the genuine torch bearers of the blues genre, emanating from the deep south of the USA.

Nonetheless we are pleased to announce that he has been replaced by Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges. Eugene last appeared at Linton in 2010 and established himself as a firm favourite with the crowd. Eugene is a nomadic musician living his life on the road. His home is wherever the next performance takes him, and every year this is from America through Europe, to Australia with many other stops in between. In 2012 he was nominated in 3 categories at the prestigious Memphis based Blues Music Awards including best soul/blues album and artist. He will be bringing a full horn section with him to Linton so we very much look forward to welcoming him back to the festival!

Regards, Linton Festival team
