With tickets going off sale on Friday, Liverpool Sound City have been amping up the anticipation over the last few days with adding yet more artists to their prestigious lineup.

Sticking to its philosophy of booking the most original, audacious, contemporary artists, this years lineup continues to underline Liverpool Sound City’s forward thinking (and immensely successful) approach to programming.

New headliners announced include the likes of Jack White favourite Willy Moon, electro pop whizz kids Swiss Lips, retro pioneers The Ruen Brothers, as well as Brighton Krautrock exemplars Dark Horses. This lineup is clearly the product of touring the country, scouting out the newest and most exciting bands around, and stand to show just how much work and forethought has gone into the festival.

Other highlights will include 18 year old pop folk sensation Nina Nesbitt, cutting edge R ’n’ B and electronic artist Stevie Neale, No Ceremony /// will be there as well showcasing their dazzling bass explorations. The deceptive, and completely unique German band WALL will be thrilling audiences, as of course will ex-The Coral guitarist, turned film score composer, Bill Ryder Jones who will be performing in his home town.

Glass Animals will be bringing with them their unique brand of electronic synth pop, as will local lads Sugarmen, providing the power pop element much to the delight of their Liverpool home crowd.

Liverpool Sound City is all prepared to delight and astound again this year as its unearthing of some of the coolest music being performed in the country to its home in the culture capital is totally unparallelled.
