Big news in for Liverpool Sound City today, as they announce the second headliner for their two day bonanza, following on from The Coral as the first. Catfish and the Bottleman, a band who Sound City gave their first big break to in 2011, will return to the festival as headliners, a fantastic statement about the event's ability to nurture talent.
They'll be joined across the festival by Palma Violets, Georgia, Viola Beach, Shura, Neon Waltz, Inheaven, Levelz, Mez, Dilly Dally, The Big Moon, Kagoule and Holy Esque, but equally as eye catching is the revelations that local promoters Freeze will be curating the dance arena.
Âme, Floating Points, Henrik Schwarz and Leftfield are all scheduled to play live sets across the two days as part of the huge bill. Previous Freeze guests Greg Wilson and Gerd Janson have also been announced alongside DJ sets from DJ Koze, Hot Chip and many more.
Check out the full Liverpool Sound City line up.
Leftfield will also perform a DJ set for Freeze Saturday 30th January, with a limited number of free tickets still available.
