She Drew The Gun have been crowned the winners of Glastonbury's 2016 Emerging Talent Competition.
The Liverpool band wins a slot on one of the Festival’s main stages, plus a £5,000 Talent Development prize from the PRS Foundation.
The judges – who included Michael and Emily Eavis, Glastonbury stage bookers and figures from the music business – awarded second place to Glasgow RnB act Bossy Love, with third place going to London-based folk singer Hattie Whitehead. Both acts received a £2,500 Talent Development prize from the PRS Foundation.
In other news, Glastonbury Festival organisers have announced plans for two ticket resale dates.
The first batch will be sold at 6pm on April 14th to those wanting to travel to the festival by coach. The remaining general admission tickets will be sold at 9am on April 17.
All tickets purchased in the resale must be paid in full at the point of booking, as there is no deposit scheme offered. These will be refundable until May 6th.
Those hoping to attend will need to be registered in order to book. Register online by April 11 to have the registration approved before it closes at 5pm BST on April 13. The exact number of tickets in the resales will not be announced, and Glastonbury states that “it is likely to be a limited quantity – split between general admission tickets and coach packages”.
