Iconic and much loved Liverpool clubbing and live music venue The Masque announced last night that it is closing.
The news was delivered via Twitter last night when, in a series of tweets @MasqueLiverpool announced: “It comes with great sadness that we have to announce The Masque has ceased trading as from today. All shows are now cancelled or moved. You are entitled to a refund from your ticket providers. Thanks for the support you have shown over the years and for being our friend, we’ll miss you!”
The Masque has played a key part in Liverpool's clubbing scene over the past decade, with seminal nights such as Chibuku Shake and Circus calling the venue home.
Customers who have bought tickets to events at The Masque should await further information, as some events may still go ahead as planned and others may be rescheduled.
We will give you more information as we have it, so do keep checking back.
