2014 marks a barnstorming year for cutting edge drum and bass imprint RAM Records, infiltrating festival stages worldwide with their artists gaining massive notoriety in the drum and bass stratosphere. In tandem with their monumental achievements they have released a brand new compilation series, RAMlife.
The album is mixed by Bristolian trailblazers Loadstar (listen to a five minute minimix of it above), and provides a scope for the latest contemporary RAM releases, from its leading figureheads right through to the labels under the radar artists on the verge of ripping the drum and bass genre apart.
Loadstar's debut album Future Perfect gained widespread acclaim from a plethora of high profile institutions, launching them onto the International stage. This incredible RAMlife mix along with their latest golden production 'Stepped Outside' confirms the duo as one of the genres star turns, with the series quenching the fans thirst for Future Perfects successor.
The soundtrack is provided by a solid roster of high grade acts that uphold RAM's reputation, with some premium bass offerings from DC Breaks and rising starlet Frankee serving up some darkened spunky compositions on the album.
The remaining track list is furnished by a squad of drum and bass vanguards, with appearances from the likes of The Prototypes, D Bridge and Vegas, Mind Vortex and Culture Shock with stellar remixes coming from Audio, Ivy Lab and Prolix. It's out now.
You can catch the duo djing at Bestival, the Isle of wight bonanza taking place form Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th September, and as part of the huge line up at Torquay's South West Indoor Festival showpiece on Saturday 4th October at the Riviera International Centre. They'll be joined by RAM boss Andy C, DC Breaks and more there - follow the ticket box below for tickets.
