Below, we've compiled a list of the best Halloween things to do for families and kids in 2024. The city and the surrounding area will be bustling with spooky activity just in time for the big night. Here are some suggestions for the best places to head to this October for Halloween fun.

 

West End Musical Halloween

When: Monday 28th October

Where: The Lyric Theatre, London

Think of this like an Avengers-style meet-up between various West End stars. They'll be coming together for a special Halloween show, where classic songs from horror productions such as Sweeney Todd, Little Shop of Horrors and Beetlejuice will be performed in all their glory. 

 

 


 

Sabor - Dia De Los Muertos - Halloween Special

When: Sunday 3rd November

Where: Vauxhall Food and Beer Garden, London

Experience Halloween Mexican style at Vauxhall Food and Beer Garden, where they will be celebrating the day of the dead. An open-air food and beer garden awaits which will be heated and covered as you're treated to street food and live DJs. There will be a kids zone with a bouncy castle and an arcade area too. 

 

 


 

School's Out For Halloween!

When: Wednesday 23rd - Thursday 31st October

Where: Rollernation, London

For Halloween, Rollernation are having a spooky makeover, just in time for the school holiday. With four separate sessions towards the end of October, they are inviting you to attend in your fancy dress, so you can skate away to Halloween classics. 

 

 


 

Halloween at Hampton Court Palace

When: Saturday 26th October - Sunday 3rd November

Where: Hampton Court Palace, London

Hampton Court Palace has been known to carry a ghost or two, making it the perfect Halloween destination. Formerly the abode of Henry VIII, lose yourself in the projections they put on for their Halloween event, with plenty of spooky, winding corridors to explore. 

 

 


  

Halloween at Kew

When: Friday 18th - Saturday 26th October

Where: Kew Gardens, London

Kew Gardens is often known as a place of beauty and tranquility. But, when the lights go down in October it'll be a different place completely. Walk between different ghastly spaces, with illuminations and creepy ghosts and spiders lurking around every corner. You can pick up plenty of sweet treats for the journey too. 

 

 


 

Wicked

When: Friday 4th October - Saturday 28th December

Where: Apollo Victoria Theatre, London

Wicked is back in the theatre, with it being one of the longest-running productions going. Halloween seems like the perfect time to attend a showing if you haven't seen it before. There will be songs and drama that will keep you transfixed on the stage.

Harry Potter & The Cursed Child

When: Friday 4th October 2024 - Friday 3rd January 2025

Where: Palace Theatre, London

When the Harry Potter films ended, people were desperate for more contributions from the world of the movies and they got that with this theatre show. Be completely engrossed in a world of fantasy, where there are spells, potions and drama in equal measure.

Hobbledown Heath Pumpkin Patch

When: Thursday 3rd October - Sunday 3rd November

Where: Hobbledown Heath, West London

A brand new pumpkin patch experience, this is well worth a day trip if you fancy heading over to Hounslow, where you'll be greeted by pumpkins as far as the eye can see. There will also be seasonal treats available as well as fairground attractions for you to enjoy.

 

 


 

London Zoo Halloween

When: Saturday 19th October - Sunday 3rd November

Where: London Zoo, Camden

Each year, London Zoo gets a Halloween makeover. You'll have the chance to carve your own pumpkin and watch as the exhibits get a spooky makeover. There will be plenty of interactions with animals and pumpkins too for you to enjoy.  

 

 


 

Legoland Brick or Treat

When: Thursday 3rd October - Sunday 3rd November

Where: Legoland, Windsor

Legoland's Halloween event is titled 'Brick or Treat' as the whole area is transformed into a Halloween paradise, with scares aplenty. Ideal for the whole family, there are monster-themed shows, a haunted house and so much more for you to discover,
