Shoreditch's Rich Mix arts venue will be the home to London Remixed Festival - a live music culture clash taking in the finest sounds from across the globe and transporting them to a multi storied venue in the capital.
When it comes to forward-thinking, musical progression in the UK, London leads the way. The city is a giant melting pot of cultures and ways of thinking, which yields exciting results in the world of music. It's this that London Remixed celebrates, with its championing of Latin, afrobeat, electro-blues, brass bands, gypsy jazz, polka, and everything in between, which this year takes place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of February.
Recreating the festival atmosphere, with indoor camping, chillout zones, a buzzing atmosphere and world class music, London Remixed has established itself as one of the leading purveyors of the best emerging musical talent, with an indoor event giving us that festival fix in the middle of winter. Get a taster for it above.
This year 25 bands and DJs have been hooked in over the course of two days and across four stages. Festival mainstay DJ Chris Tofu anchors the opening night of electro-blues alongside Sterling Moss, ODJBOX and MOJI. Saturday welcomes London Afrobeat Collective, Jallykebba Susso & Manding Sabu and Animanz to atke charge of the hugely anticipated Tropicarnival.
The Polka Club will be bolstered by appearances from Sam and the Womp, New York Brass Band and Ushti Baba, with the Folk Ghetto boasting the likes of Stompin’ Dave Allen, Rum Buffalo, Keltrix and a return from Chris Tofu.
