Indie sensations Embrace are making a barnstorming comeback after recently releasing their first album for eight years, they touch down at Middlesbrough's Empire on Monday 1st December.
Embrace made a solid indent in the indie rock scene before the turn of the millennium, signing to revered imprint Hut Recordings before releasing their debut single 'All You Good Good People' (below) on cutting edge indie label Fierce Panda. The band continued to produce anthem after anthem picking up the best new band accolade at the Brit Awards in 1998.
Their initial successes bagged them a strong following from both sides of the Atlantic, strengthened by the release of a series of albums wedged with anthems such as 'Ashes', that came out on their 2004 album Out Of Nothing, which you can see being blared out live on Jools Holland below.
Many presumed their 2006 album This New Day to be their last, until the band reconvened in 2011 to produce a long player that would rival their debut album.
Three years later and that album is finally ready, having successfully put together a self titled production that gives the band an exciting new edge with electronic tinges, bringing the past and the present day together to give their trademark classic sounds a contemporary twist.
