Celebrating both music and the written word whilst exploring the relationship between both, Louder Than Words has become a festival favourite in the UK for many with its unique focus and countless guest Q&As, talks and performances.

Returning to the Palace Hotel on Friday 11th - Sunday 13th November, Louder Than Words this year features ex The Fall member Brix Smith-Start in conversation as well as a reading and acoustic set, and Rebekka Kill performing ‘Facebook is like Disco, Punk is like Twitter’ before she gets behind the decks for the event's launch party.

The last surviving member of Bowie's backing band Spider from Mars - Woody Woodmansey appears on the 12th, as does Funky Si Wolstencroft, The Throwing Muses' Kristin Hersh, English hard and heavy rock group Thunder (above), and Eleanor McEvoy, before members of Crass Penny Rimbaud and Steve Ignorant appear on the Sunday, as does founding Kraftwerk member Wolfgang Flur.

Expect to witness panels on everything from rock to rave, mod to grunge, and appearances from journalists Barney Hoskyns, Zoe Howe and Matthew Collin in between workshops and talks aimed at aspiring music writers, lyricists and musicians.

Head here for Louder Than Words tickets.
