Crooked House In The Park returns to Beacon Park in Litchfield on Sunday 25th August 2024 (bank holiday weekend), and returning once again on the lineup is local midlands groove-master and Crooked resident Low Steppa.

A man on a meteoric path to the top, who simply can't stop making absolute bangers, Low Steppa is a mainstay at Crooked House In The Park. So, with the next edition on the horizon, we caught up with him to chat all things about the festival and what he's been up to recently. Check out what he had to say below!

Hi Low Steppa, we’re here to chat about Crooked House In The Park 2024, a festival returning for its fourth year, what are you most looking forward to about it and what keeps you coming back?

"Hello! Well, Crooked House is so special and has become the local festival to me. I go way back with the guys that run it too, we have a lot of history together.

"I see so many faces I know and everyone involved is mint.

"So yeah, that's what makes it so special to me as I'm always in different cities or different countries these days, so it's always great to get back and see everyone doing well and celebrating music together!"

What fond memories have you had of playing at this festival whether last year or prior?

"Last year was just amazing.

"I had all my friends on the stage with me including Jackard's mum haha, it was the best day."

Onto this year's lineup, it's massive with Ibiza legend Claptone and Drum and Bass icon Wilkinson headlining their respective stages, among a host of huge dance names. Is there anyone you’re particularly looking forward to?

"I'm really excited to see Micky Finn, Lens and Matt Jam Lamont, but the whole lineup is amazing.

On that, I’d also like to propose a hypothetical. Who on the Crooked House 2024 lineup would you most like to do a B2B?

"I think it's about time there was an Eats Everything and Low Steppa back to back."

Personally, your 2024 has been a fruitful one with three new tracks in 'Dance To The Music', 'Bullerengue', and 'Big Busta'. what can you tell us about these tracks, and can punters at Crooked House In The Park expect to be grooving along to them in August?

"Thank you yes it's been a great year so far, the crowd will definitely be hearing these tracks.

"I'm just doing what I love and what feels right to me. I don't like to chase the current sounds so much, I just want to make music that I want to play."

How has your festival / Ibiza season been going so far? It seems to be in full force, by the time this festival comes around you’re bound to be in red-hot form.

"It's been crazy so far I've hardly been home, I've just done Ibiza, Czech Republic and Lithuania and I've been home one day and it's back to Ibiza again later!"

To finish, we at Skiddle have a feature we run with people we interview called Three Tracks. So, the question is, If your set at Crooked House in the Park was reduced to just three tracks, what are you playing and why?

"Haha to be honest you probably named them above! I would maybe switch it up with a classic, maybe Dave Lee - 'Make A Move On Me' for the Midlands crew."

Finally, if someone was on the fence about buying a crooked House in the Park ticket, what would you say to them?

"I would say get off the fence, get in the park and let's have it x"
