As we slowly descend into the winter months, Liverpool's discerning techno experts MODU:LAR return to the ever impressive Magnet venue after a couple of months off to invite Fathers and Sons label boss Julian Perez along for a headline slot at their Sept 6th party.
After Bella Sarris tore the roof off last time round, MODU:LAR seek to repeat the same trick with the sounds of Spanish techno lord Julian Perez. Whilst he grew up on a diet of Detroit techno and Chicago house Julian has throughout the years honed and refined his strictly forward thinking, rugged techno sound with lauded results.
With regular support from the likes of Radio Slave, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Cox, Apollonia and Onur Ozer, Perez is regularly called in to DJ at some of the most iconic techno extravaganzas such as Richie Hawtin's ENTER. (hear his mix from a few weeks ago above), Enzo Siragusa's Fuse and Steve Lawler's VIVa Warriors, with a few appearances at Paris' The Rex Club (below) thrown in there for good measure.
As his vinyl only, Ibiza based Fathers and Sons imprint gathers ever increasing momentum, Julian continues to flex his bass heavy, off kilter, atmospheric techno leanings as those in-the-know simply can't get enough of his irresistible, groove heavy, deep techno.
One Records favourite Jack Wickham joins him on the night for plenty more deep and devastating dynamite, with Scott Grant also hooked in for a back to back with D.E.B. Grab your MODU:LAR tickets here.
