This year marks the 60th anniversary of sound system culture in the UK, and to celebrate Channel One Sound System have teamed up with dub legend Mad Professor for a five date UK tour.
Taking in shows at Manchester, London, Birmingham, Nottingham and Leeds, the dub and reggae dream team (watch Channel One Sound System in action above) will be showcasing everything that is great about the cultural movement, something that started back in 1955 when Duke Vin built his first system from a £15 speaker, a £4 amplifier and a second hand turntable.
The tour offers an unmissable opportunity for people to immerse themselves in a music and culture rich in history and vibe, as well as a rare chance to see both Channel One and Mad Professor together, doing what they're internationally adored for. Check the tour dates below.
October 16th Rainbow Venues, Birmingham
October 18th Village Underground
October 23rd Manchester Academy, Manchester
October 30th The I Club, Nottingham
October 31st West Indian Centre, Leeds
