Manchester Film Festival brings its tenth edition to the city at the Odeon, Great Northern on Deansgate from Friday 15th - Sunday 24th March, bringing over 45 feature films from around the world and over 100 short films. Tickets on sale now!
The huge celebration of cinema, which started in 2015, is committed to innovation, cinematic excellence, and inclusion, championing independent filmmakers who have created stunning shorts, documentaries, and features.
One of the many amazing films to be screened will be Love Lies Bleeding featuring Kristen Stewart. Another is The Boy In The Woods, a story of a Jewish boy being hunted in the forests of Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe, which will see its UK premiere. MFF will also see the UK premiere of The Convert, starring Guy Pearce, and The New Boy, starring Cate Blanchett, with music by Nick Cave. Another highlight is sure to be Ewan McGregor starring in Mother, Couch. But with such a brilliant, expansive programme, you have to check it out for yourself to ensure you don’t miss any gems. Documentaries will cover sportspeople, filmmakers, prejudices against Travellers, animals, a stranded migrant boat off the coast of Italy, and more. And with a special showcase of student shorts made by film students from the UK and beyond, not only does MFF ensure a diverse group is represented but also provides a platform to elevate the next generation of skilled filmmakers.
