The makers behind Manchester's first and only dedicated craft lager have revealed details of their second and already very popular, monthly dining event - The Manchester Union Supper Club.
The recurrent pop-up kitchen party, which takes place inside the Manchester Union Brewery taproom, will present a diverse mix of award-winning restauranteurs and culinary artists throughout the remainder of the year. Each of the participating chefs will take turns to provide an exciting menu of gastronomic delights specially designed to complement the aromas and flavours of various Manchester Union lagers.
Last month's first-ever Supper Club event welcomed Brazilian Masterchef winner and Michelin star cook, Caroline Martins. The young yet experienced chef, who's produced plates of world-class food for renowned establishments the likes of London's Kitchen Table (2 Michelin stars) and Italy's stunning alpine restaurant, Castel Finedinng (2 Michelin stars), delivered a sensory overloading four-course sitting of palatable dishes using only a single induction hob and sous-vide machine.

Taking charge of this week's Supper Club - running from 6:30 pm until 10 pm on Thursday 23rd September - Manchester-based vegan experimentalists, Black Leaf will supply an imaginative three-course menu consisting only of plant-based ingredients.
The herbivorous feast will begin with a chilli and fennel scotch egg, followed by a spinach and sweet potato puri, concluding with a dark chocolate and caramelised pear torte. All courses come with a Manchester Union lager and also include a welcome drink.
