Reopening its doors to the public back at the very beginning of the year, one of Manchester's most frequented clubbing destinations, Joshua Brooks has commenced a brand new chapter in its long and distinguished history.
An integral part of Manchester's music scene since its opening back in 1993, the underground club, to this day, continues to lure dance fans from all corners of the UK and further afield. Known for its intimate and personal parties, world class sound system and raw, stripped back aesthetic, it's been the situ of many a legendary party over the past two decades. Looking forward to doing what it does best in 2022, the club will welcome a mix of red hot new names and enduring pioneers to commemorate its recent relaunch and set a precedent for years to come.
Now under different ownership and with a new management team at the helm, the revamped club will mark the beginning of its new era with an outrageous first season of events. Running between now and mid-April, some of the underground scene's biggest and most forward thinking brands and DJs will take to the wheels of steel, putting the PA properly through its paces.
Amongst the many highlights of the year, punters can expect a full take over by influential grime, bass and garage label, Butterz, which will see key associates Flava D, Royal T, and Elijah & Skilliam doing their thing on Friday 4th February, followed by the return of local favourite, Darius Syrossian with his edgy and no-frills Moxy Muzik house music residency, on the Saturday 5th February.
Globally renowned techno specialist, wAFF will bring his expertise to Joshua Brooks on Saturday 12th February, whilst Haus22 Records also return for their residency with Berghain techno titan, Ben Klock the following week (Saturday 19th February). And the big-hitters just keep on coming...
Legendary Chicago selector, DJ Rush, Metalheadz founder and drum n bass legend, Goldie, Four Thirty Two boss man, Richy Ahmed, American house pioneer, Kerri Chandler, Sam Divine, Jax Jones, Tristan Da Cunha and many more are all confirmed to grace the emblematic nightspot.
The scene has well and truly been set for a massive and unmissable season in Manchester's favourite basement club throughout the first quarter of the year. Will you be present on the dance floor at one of these upcoming club events?
