If you've took time out to read about what's hot at the moment, Matthew E. White's freshly dropped album Fresh Blood is bound to crop up somewhere. On the back of that release, the Virginia modern soul singer songwriter is touring the UK extensively in April.
He'll open the UK leg of his tour at Oran Mor, Glasgow on Tuesday 14th April, continuing on to the likes of Gorilla in Manchester and Liverpool's Leaf, before the final show piece at Village Underground, London on Monday 20th April.
It's soul music with a modern twist, beautifully executed to a degree that sounds him out as modern soul revolutionist. His effortless hit 'Rock & Roll Is Cold' (above) exemplifies this, and shows an excitable sign of things to come when he journeys the UK.
UK tour dates below:
Glasgow, Oran Mor, Tuesday 14th April
Leeds, Brudenell Social Club, Wednesday 15th April
Manchester, Gorilla, Thursday 16th April
Gateshead, The Sage, Friday 17th April
Liverpool, Leaf on Bold St, Saturday 18th April
Bristol, The Marble Factory, Sunday 19th April
