Maximo Park to play Dreamland in Margate

Signalling the new era of Margate's Dreamland, indie giants Maximo Park begin a year of live music at the venue with a very special headline show.

Newcastle indie dons Maximo Park are a band that don't need much of an introduction. Having been part of the onslaught of alternative rock that dominated the noughties music scene, their blend of synths and rip-roaring riffs combined with Paul Smith's distinguishable vocals to this day make the band one of the most recognisable of the genre. 

Unlike the majority of indie acts from that era who are now considered a nostalgic trip, Maximo Park have steadily been releasing material since their inception. Their extensive back catalogue of post-punk revival tracks has just been added to, as the band's sixth studio album, Risk To Exist proves that their charming pop sound is still stand out.
