Much like Queen Liz, Manchester promoter Micron will be celebrating a big birthday this year and in true regal fashion the famed wonky disco will be having not one but two celebratory bashes. Unlike her Majesty's do however, there'll be no corgis and Wills won't be manning the aux cable.
Instead, Micron will be enjoying the second part of it's birthday in Underground Liverpool on Saturday 12th November, with Ame and Magda providing the party playlist.
Micron brought the acid house spirit to Joshua Brooks in Manchester for five years before hosting one off shows at Sankey's and Gorilla and has a penchant for house, techno and electro. This certainly hasn't gone unnoticed and led to Micron previously being nominated twice for Best Small British Club by DJMag, and is described as "one of the genuine gems of Manchester's clubbing scene".
In recent years Micron has brought the likes of Joris Voorn, Ben Klock and Heidi to its monthly club night as well giving many others their Manchester débuts. Ame saw in Micron's fifth birthday so there is no doubting his credentials as the ideal candidate for this landmark night half a decade later.
