A brand-new music festival completely powered by green energy is coming to Scotland's Outer Hebrides in the spring of next year - Midnight Sun Weekender.
Landing on the breathtaking shores of the Isle of Lewis and commandeering the grounds of its impressive Victorian-era fortress, Lewis Castle, for three days packed full of excitement and adventure, the inaugural instalment of the event is one well worth taking note of, especially given its stellar bill of acts.
Running from Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th of May 2023, the festival will boast excellent live performances from world-class music icons and genre-defining names the likes of headliners Primal Scream and The Pretenders, fronted by the coolest leading lady in rock music, Chrissie Hynde, 90's legends Spiritualized and Ocean Colour Scene, Public Service Broadcasting, and Glasgow's very own Honeyblood, amongst many others.
Opening the festival with a UK headline exclusive, The Pretenders will present their enviable repertoire of hits spanning an amazing six decades, featuring classics such as 'Talk Of The Town', 'Kid', '2000 Miles' and 'Back On The Chain Gang'. Following up on Friday night, one of Scotland’s finest exports, Primal Scream will storm the keep of Lewis Castle with a headline set for the ages. From the Acid dipped thrills of Screamdelica to the techno-entrenched spills of XTRMNTR, expect a diverse and uncompromising set from one of the best live acts in the business.
