As one of the most iconic clubbing brands in the country, Ministry Of Sound has since the early nineties been championing the newest and freshest sounds in club music, becoming responsible for educating a generation through it's supreme club nights and pivotal compilation series, amongst other things. We've had a look at what the revered London club has in store for June.
Longstanding Ministry Of Sound residency The Gallery returns for the first Friday in June with Above and Beyond's Anjunabeats label in the driving seat. The likes of long standing veteran Andy Moor (hear his latest mix above), Super8 & Tab and Kyau & Albert all appear, primed to ply the Ministry crowd with some banging, euphoric trance.
The Saturday sees irreverent deck wizard James Zabiela called in to dispatch one of his technically brilliant, genre spanning sets. He will be joined by Detroit techno legend Stacey Pullen, Zed Bias vs Maddslinky and plenty more.
The Gallery invites Chicago based EDM trio Krewella across the pond to take centre stage at Ministry Of Sound on the 13th. Expect a blistering selection of the finest in upfront electro house, big room progressive and dubstep from the award winning three piece. Lets Be Friends and Beltek join them, with trance heavyweight Oliver Lang heading up the adjacent 103 space.
Revealed Records bring Dutch EDM powerhouse Dannic to the London superclub (listen to his latest radio show above) on the Saturday. Having gained the seal of approval from the likes of Hardwell and Tiesto, Dannic and his faultless productions have made appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and Electric Zoo to name a few, as he continues to rise through the ranks of electronic music's biggest stars.
The Gallery call in Markus Schulz's almighty Coldharbour Recordings for their part on the 20th. Label favourite and progressive trance boss KhoMha will head things up (get pumped up for that by streaming his A State Of Trance mix above) with support coming from M.I.K.E, Beat Service and Mr. Pit, whilst 103 will see Dave Seaman unleash one of his sophisticated, blissful sets for the heads out there.
The Saturday Session will see the current darlings of drum n bass - Sigma lead the weay. Unless you've been living in a bubble in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, you'll have no doubt been exposed to their mammoth record 'Nobody To Love', which has been adored worldwide and blasted across every radio station out there. They will be unleashing a barrage of pop flavoured drum n bass goodness, whilst 8 times Breakspoll winner Krafty Kuts and Ram Records Delta Heavy round off the list of high tempo heroes.
The jetsetting, Axtone label mainstay Thomas Gold hits London on the 27th for one of his masterfully put together, dance floor blazing sets. His ability to bring together the unkown with anthems is something to behold, both challenging and pleasing EDM heads in equal measure. Trance icons Richard Durand, Lange, Sean Tyas and Menno De Jong round off an all guns blazing edition of The Gallery.
Ministry welcomes Grammy Award nominated Nic Fanciulli to head up a special edition of Defected In the House on the 28th. Now regarded as one of the UK's finest exports, Fanciulli has garnered a huge reputation for his sleek, intelligent yet driving strain of house and techno (witness that above).
Berlin based house exponent Oliver $ and the up and coming skills of SecondCity complete an unmissable party, curated by one of the most important dance music labels out there.
