The Mint Festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday 21st September in Leeds’ Lotherton Hall, has announced the special guest for the Bitch arena, Nervo. The Australian twin sisters have caused quite a storm in electronic music over the past few years, famed first as a song-writing partnership of scintillating proportions in the dance pop realm. They’ve wrote for everyone from Ke$sha to Kylie, the Pussycat Dolls and their most famed collaboration so far, penning the lyrics for David Guetta’s Kelly Rowland featuring smash ‘Love Takes Over’.
Since then they’ve show their teeth on the DJ circuit, earning a Las Vegas residency, slots opening for the likes of Will.I.Am, Britney Spears and Nikki Minaj and building a signature built on sassy beats, filthy electro and dirty grooves. They epitomise the Bitch sound, dark and sexy riffs that are loud and brash and addled with an infectious sensibility.
They join an arena that already boasts Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Size Records’ Third Party and BBC Radio One’s Danny Howard, whilst the rest of the line-up swaggers to the likes of Seth Troxler, Marco Carola, Ferry Corsten, Marcell Dettmann and George Fitzgerald. The venue as well remains one of Leeds most enduring environs for a bit of a sexed up festival experience, having hosted everyone from Back 2 Space to Gatecrasher in the past.
