There’s no denying that 2013 has been Mistajam’s finest year yet. Not only has he furthered his status as one of the most respected and well loved DJs at the mighty Radio One, but his Speakerbox tour has set up stall at some of the year’s most prestigious festivals. We are FSTVL, GlobalGathering, Exit Festival and London’s inaugural Electric Daisy Carnival all called on the curation and DJing skills of Mistajam, and with dizzying results. His reputation precedes him as a mercurial, genre bending, definition defying DJ that goes further than most to communicate his love of all types of music to his reliably enthralled audience.
Mistajam DJ Sounds Show 2012
Focusing on breaking new music and shining a light on underground artists deserving of mainstream exposure, MistaJam is now regarded as one of the go-to-men for breaking new music in British radio. His roadshow Speakerbox has won over many fans, and with its on point stint in Ibiza this year too, Mistajam continues to push forward and champion the sounds of the underground, bringing them kicking and screaming to larger audiences around the world. In particular, Mistajam’s ventures into bass music, dubstep and drum 'n' bass have made him a particular favourite, as well as his highly eclectic sets which veer between disparate genres at will with dance floor destroying results.
His arrival at Control in Leeds sees him bring along an exciting line up of cutting edge artists for an almighty edition of Speakerbox. Hip hop innovator Professor Green heads up proceedings, alongside Aussie drum ‘n’ bass overlords Pendulum, burgeoning trap heroine Amy Becker, and Leeds based liquid drum ‘n’ bass maestro Loz Contreras.
With Mistajam at the helm, you know you’re in safe hands, and blistering dance floor action is guaranteed. For fans of bass music - this is absolutely essential.
