Michael Kiwanuka, Mystery Jets, Alkaline Trio, Slow Club and more join the line-up for the three day festival in May.
The international music, media and technology conference and live arts and music festival returns to Liverpool over the weekend of May 17th - 19th, with yet another bold and innovative programme of live music and thought provoking conferences.
With Professor Green, White Denim and Death In Vegas announced as the first wave of artists, the 5th Liverpool Sound city is well on the way delivering its finest line up yet.
The festival have today announced a host of new artists, representing a diverse range of pioneering contemporary acts.
Bluesy soul-folk artist Michael Kiwanuka has been confirmed to appear, fresh from his victory in the BBC's esteemed Sound of 2012 poll. Joining him are quirky pop outfit Mystery Jets, who release their 4th studio album in April.
Alkaline Trio, Slow Club, Willy Mason, Ghost Poet, The Jezabels, ∆ ALT-J, Niki and the Dove and Toy are also confirmed to appear at what must surely be one of the strongest LSC line ups to date.
Uniquely for a city centre festival, Liverpool Sound City does not just showcase acts in traditional venues and this year performances will take place in warehouses, bombed out churches and a range of other locations giving fans a once in a lifetime chance to see bands in such captivating surroundings.
