Motion in Bristol once again shows why its so loved amongst local clubbers with an exciting and busy calendar of events for the summer season. Utilising their extensive outdoor areas for several dance music all-dayers, the riverside venue will surely make it a summer to remember.
Three is the magic number on Saturday 30th June as Dutch artist Frits Wentink and lo-fi house master DJ Boring play the third of their back to back sets, recently seen in Amsterdam and Paris. The event is also the third of Shall Not Fade's special summer events and will feature Earl Jeffers as special guest.
On Saturday 7th July it's the FUSE open air party, with the esteemed London house night visiting Bristol for the first time on the occasion. Built around their resident DJs, the night is bringing Enzo Siragusa, Archie Hamilton and Seb Zito with them, so expect a big impact.
Sequences Festival returns for its third instalment on Saturday 21st July and the outdoor all-dayer promises the best in British bass music across three stages. Locals The Blast host the first arena, with Mist, Rejjie Snow, Holy Goof, Conducta & Coco and Chimpo among the guests.
As if that wasn't enough, GQ host the second arena with DJ sets from Noisia and DJ Hazard among their highlights. The third arena sees Deep MEDi go up against Bandulu on the Mungo's Hi Fi set up, with Mala, Kahn & Neek and Sir Spyro among the guests.
On 28 July, British based house music institution Defected Records visits for a day and night party with Camelphat, Franky Rizardo and Monki guesting. One week later it's the summer special of Bristol's leading gay underground clubbing night Bitch, Please! with special guests, NYC based The Bunker/Ghostly International DJ Mike Servito and Octo Octa.
Last year's Run All Day drum n' bass special with the Spearhead label was so successful that Bcee's 13 year old imprint return for their own all-dayer on 18th August with LTJ Bukem, Spectrasoul and Technimatic joining the main man. Run All Day itself returns on 8th September with an incredible line up including Sub Focus, DJ Hype, DJ Hazard, SASASAS, Ed Rush & Optical, Fabio & Grooverider, T>I, Nicky Blackmarket, Mollie Collins and many more.
Sandwiched between those massive drum n' bass happenings is the second instalment of the Yard: Open Air Club on 25th August with three arenas of house and techno in the capable hands of Ame, Rodhad, Andrew Weatherall, Antal, James Ruskin, Avalon Emerson and Leon Vynehall.
