It's fair to say that Motion have cracked it with their second birthday celebrations, summoning one of electronic music's longest serving innovators, Justin Robertson to the intimate confines of Liverpool's Fallout Factory on Friday 28th November.
Born out of the acid house era the man behind the Hacienda, Justin Robertson has seen it all (Explained in our interview with him here), after starting out working at the notorious Eastern Bloc records he's been there throughout the evolution of house music in the UK yet still remains as relevant today as he ever was (evident from this mix below)
He's remixed for a plethora of heavyweight names including the Happy Mondays and performed under various guises like Lionrock and The Deadstock 33's, a formidable partnership with Daniel Avery, whilst he was also sounded as a mentor for The Chemical Brothers, highlighting his tremendous pedigree both as a DJ and a producer.
His music meanders through the avenues of galactic disco, Balearic, acid house and techno giving his sets a real dexterity and a buzz that is hard to come by these days, so it's a real blessing that the Manchester legend will soundtrack the celebrations along with Noisy Audio and Alex Parkington on the night.
