The Victorian market town of Ramsbottom hosts brand new mountain biking festival Northern Grip on July 23rd-24th - a two day celebration encompassing exclusive bike trails, demos, live music, DJs, local food, film screenings and Q and A sessions.
The festival will officially open up a network of brand new National Trust trails to be used on both days, giving attendees first dibs at exploring the picturesque Pennine tracks.
Festival goers can also expect to take in the latest demonstration bike fleets from renowned brands Kona, Sonder, Cotic, Scott and Giant, as well as Cooksons, Pedal Precision, and Shack Wrap who'll be dealing with everything from bike clinics to equipment showcases.
Ramsbottom's Civic Hall, acting as the festival's nerve centre will feature live music in the shape of Mr Wilson’s Second Liners', a band that recreate well worn club classics in the style of a full New Orleans brass band (above). They'll be flanked by more folky wares from The East Pointers, Rick Warren and Damien Heakin, whilst Manchester soul, funk and disco clubnight Funkademia provide the night's DJs: Graeme Hawley, Pasta Paul & Baz Kirkley.
