It's been one of the summer's biggest films (read our review) and in the process helped push hip hop overlord Dr Dre back into the studio, but you now have the chance to see another of original members of the group Straight Outta Compton spotlights, NWA, who is heading to Manchester's Sound Control on Saturday 26th September.
That man is DJ Yella, who was originally part of the World Class Wreckin' Cru with Dre and helped power the production of NWA during their assault on popular music during 1987-1991. He also produced Eazy-E's debut LP Eazy Duz It alongside Dre and Ruthless recordig artists The D.O.C, Michel'le and Bone Thugs N Harmony (listen to the Yella produced 'Foe tha Love of $' above.
Expect vintage gansgter rap, booming electro and bouncing West Coast funk to all make an appearance from a DJ who helped shape Dr Dre's early career. Head here for DJ Yella Tickets.
