For many it’s the jewel in the city’s crown of venues, and Thursday November 7th will see the Kazimier as the platform to launch singer Natalie McCool’s UK tour via Mellowtone productions. The last year has seen McCool secure a clutch of awards and accolades form the music press, not least the ‘Female Artist of the Year’ at the Liverpool Music Awards this year, with many utterly entranced by her captivating guitar acumen and forward thinking stylistic attitude.
BBC6 Music’s Chris Hawkins cited that “McCool has that extra something that makes her a cut above even her most talented peers”, and with a wealth of influences that includes Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, PJ Harvey and the Stone Roses her dark ethereal soundscapes are perfect for the incoming winter months. Check out her covers of Kavinsky's 'Nightcall' and College and Electric Youth's 'Real Hero' form the Drive soundtrack below:
She’ll be ably supported by Leeds three piece Ravens, who will be bringing their self-proclaimed “quintessentially English sound” to the party, alongside a solo acoustic set from Silent Cities and “wholegrain church organ pop/folk” eight piece ensemble Cousin Jac. The Beaten Tracks DJs. Head here for full info, and to purchase tickets follow the ticket box at the foot of this article.
The tour will also take in the likes of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Chester, the latter for which we also have tickets on sale.
