Nation, the home of Cream, will close its doors at the end of the year, following the redevelopment of Wolstenhome Square in Liverpool.
An underground music venue will take its place in the same location. It will be designed to carry Nation's iconic footprint with an industrial and underground feel carried to one cavernous space.
To coincide with the closure and its upcoming 23rd birthday, Cream will soon announce a series of parties including the final closing party on boxing night.
The re-development of Wolstenhome Square will see the creation of new multi-storey buildings, a new passageway to Seel Street, and space for a variety of buildings including the new club.
Cream reaffirms its legendary presence this year by rolling out Creamfields Ibiza for its inaugural event on Saturday 1st August, and its flagship festival Creamfields takes place from Friday 28th - Sunday 30th August.
