A new 5,000-capacity venue called Printworks will open in London in January 2017.

The new multipurpose, experimental venue launches in Canada Water at the former printing facility for the Metro and Evening Standard newspapers. The fully licensed space is set within a 16-acre site in London's Docklands and comprises of six different events spaces, arranged over multiple levels.

Printworks will boast "arts, culture, fashion, music, film, food, immersive theatre, dance and more." The venue's first in-house music events series is set to be announced on Thursday 1st December 2016.

The industrial space will be operated by diverse businesses collection The Vibration Group, whilst the music programming comes courtesy of LWE, a promotional team which has transformed Tobacco Dock over the past few years into a rave paradise whilst launching the hugely popular Junction 2 festival in West London.

Broadwick Live, an international team of creative people who are behind the likes of Festival No.6, Field Day, Snowbombing, Boardmasters and Lost Village, are also on hand to secure the musical bookings and event coordination.

The planning application for the temporary use of the Printworks as a culture, music and arts space is currently under consideration by Southwark Council and if approved, events would begin from January 2017.

Stay tuned for the debut music event series announcement...
