Paradym is a new event started by two local boys from Maidstone who have always had a deep love for house music since they were children. They both grew up with their parents always playing house and all types, and so did they're love for all house genres, however, as they are grew older they couldn't help but be heavily influenced by the ongoing trend of minimal and deep house as they grew into teenagers.
They regularly went to events and wanted to start a house music brand/event like many who love house music do. But they're goal is different, they want to bring the up and coming talent in the scene to their hometown, Maidstone similar to what Nic Fanciulli done with Saved some years ago bringing the biggest names in the industry to the capital of Kent.
So they took a gamble and have started their launch party on Saturday 30th December with one super talented up and comer, Luke Dean. He has an incredible talent for production which the Paradym boys believe will take him to some of the highest heights as a DJ and has no lack of ability or talent to which gives him the excuse not to get there.
Also on the billing is super cool, talented and hard working Blondi who has made some big moves in 2023 with playing at venues and brands such as Hï Ibiza, Secret Sessions, Appetite, Joshua Brookes & many others. She's been a firm favourite of the Paradym boys for a while now, listening to all her mixes and singing her praises and now they've started an event it was their chance to host her at their first party and give her a platform in their hometown to educate music lovers what's new and coming through to the new age of house.
Also on the lineup is some of Maidstone's biggest unsung heroes such as Benigma, the Paradym boys met him at an after party and listened to him mix for about an hour, then one asked "whose tracks do you like playing" and he said "mine, the whole set has been all my own tracks, I've got loads of subs just full of my own music" they both stood gobsmacked to why he wasn't some massive artist, as the productions were simply incredible but he explained, he's a perfectionist and wasn't certain if they were ready to send out.
There's many more like Benigma on their first lineup. It's bound to be a huge, fantastic party but also a lesson in which all the DJs will be teachers, in educating the audience in what great, authentic music really is. And this is the message the Paradym boys are trying to pass onto their audience. It's simple really, they just want to dance, listen to great music and spend their time with their friends. What more could you want.
