Helping you discover the best newly announced events near you, we’re back with another edition of New On Skiddle. This week we’ve got some beauts including PRTY’s Black Traffic bash, Black Coffee taking over at The Warehouse Project, Simon Doty’s return to Skyline, a huge 90s party, a massive 80s celebration, Terminal V’s Halloween weekender, and more.

Where: Depot (Mayfield) in Manchester
South Africa’s Grammy-winning record producer and DJ, Black Coffee, comes to The Warehouse Project in October to present the people of Manchester and beyond with a masterclass in house music.
On the scene since 1994, Coffee has decades of experience in delivering exceptional DJ sets. A leading pioneer of the Afro-house sound and won his Grammy in 2022, becoming the first African to win the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
Joining Coffee on the night will be a mix of much-loved DJs and up-and-comers across house including Skepta (DJ), Kerri Chandler, TSHA, Jayda G, Desiree, William Djoko, Fka Mash, Airrica, and Urbi.

Skyline feat. Simon Doty, Gorje Hewek, Hicky & Kalo
When: Sunday 18th August 2024
Where: Radisson Red in Glasgow
Skyline, known for bringing some of the best progressive house lineups to the UK, is back with a Skyliner favourite, Simon Doty, for his rescheduled show.
Before Doty’s three-hour set, two support acts will warm the room up. Russia’s Gorje Hewek makes his return after a blistering debut last October. The organic house act is known as one of Skyline’s most exciting newcomers. But before Hewek takes to the decks, it’ll be Montreal’s Hicky & Kalo, a duo of classically trained musicians who’ve been making waves with releases on Sudbeat,
As always, accommodation is available for those who want to make a full weekend of the experience, which includes breakfast and two in-room welcome drinks alongside the complimentary welcome drink of Old Mout cider or Moretti for the event itself.

Celebrating one of the most iconic decades in music, TESTBED adds 90s Baby to its growing 2024 calendar of events.
Among those on this heavily nostalgic lineup are Heather Small, N-Trance, Herd + Fitz featuring Abigail Bailey, Phats & Small, Baby D, Livin Joy featuring Luzahnn, and more.
With some iconic tracks between them like Heather's 'Proud', N-Trance's 'Set You Free', and Phats & Small's 'Turn Around', and so many more, any 90s music fan will be on their feet all night long.

Sara Cox Presents: Just Can't Get Enough 80s

Radio DJ Sara Cox brings her Just Can't Get Enough 80s party to Manchester’s Albert Hall for the biggest dose of nostalgia.
Reliving the time of big hair, neon, lycra leotards and leggings (yes, lycra, workout gear, and neon are encouraged at this event), and Walkmans, this event brings us the sounds of Prince, Madonna, Duran Duran, and more incredible music that many grew up immersed in.
Tying the night together with dazzling lights and vibrant visuals, Cox will take you back to the decade that means so much to us all. Running from 9pm until 1am, that’s four hours steeped in musical history and pure memories.

PRTY Presents Black Traffic [All Night Long]

Scotland’s legendary hard techno party starter is back, bringing Black Traffic to SWG3 Galvanizers for his biggest all-night-long yet.
PRTY, known for its next-level events and a keen eye for spotting the next generation of hard dance talent, brings us the Irish DJ and producer in September for five hours of his blend of trance, hard techno, and electronic rave sounds.
First gaining attention through TikTok and Soundcloud, Black Traffic has been popping up just about everywhere recently, with many upcoming events in Ibiza this year.

Carl Cox (Hybrid Live Set) - Roundhouse

One of the best DJs of all time, Carl Cox comes to London for a special all-day party, headlining with his iconic hybrid live set.
If you know anything about house and techno, you know Cox is an absolute legend in the scene, having been a vital part of both the UK’s and Ibiza’s nightlife. Having spent decades in the thick of the clubbing scene, if there’s anyone who knows how to deliver an exceptional set and get the crowd grooving, it’s Cox.
Running from 5pm until 11pm, this event gives you plenty of time to escape into the soundscape he creates and still get enough beauty sleep when the party’s over.

Terminal V brings us two nights of Halloween mayhem this year with two stages on both nights packed with techno talent.

Soca legend Machel Montano touches down in London to kick off the bank holiday weekend and Notting Hill Carnival with a massive bang.
