New On Skiddle: Daire, Groovebox, Elation, Franky Rizardo & more

Have you noticed it’s getting dark a little later now? We have and we’re absolutely buzzing for the summer to return in full swing. We’ve a little while to go but we can taste it.

Daire - Nothing But Trouble Scottish tour

When: Friday 26th Jan, Saturday 27th Jan, Friday 22nd Mar, and Saturday 23rd Mar 2024

Where: Dundee, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh

Northern Irish DJ and producer, Daire, embarks on his first Scottish tour, Nothing But Trouble, with dates in January and March. Having surged in popularity after supporting Hannah Laing, Ben Hemsely, blk., and becoming known for his energy behind the decks, Daire is right up Scottish ravers’ alleys. 

With a record deal with a major label and upcoming releases on another major label, the Belfast native is only going from strength to strength. We’re sure the massive, bouncy, nostalgia-tinged tunes he’s cooking up will be everywhere during festival season as well as the raves.

Groovebox in the Church | Bank Holiday Sunday

When: Sunday 5th May 2024 (bank holiday weekend)

Where: Pitcher and Piano in Nottingham

Following Groovebox’s last sold-out event at Pitcher and Piano, Nottingham’s favourite house music promoters are back again, this time with Roger Sanchez.

Elation x Vivid: Alex Farell // A-05 // SGIG

When: Saturday 27th January 2024

Where: The Mash House in Edinburgh

Young Liverpudlian DJ and producer Alex Farrell comes to Edinburgh’s Mash House with his hard techno tunes for a one-off show. 

Producing for a few years now, Farell has developed a dark, hard techno sound, gaining support from some big names in the game including 9x9, Parfait, and more. He’s caused quite the stir in the hard techno scene as one of the hottest up-and-comers to watch. Elation Edinburgh and Vivid bring him over to the Scottish capital at the end of the month for a super sweaty, intense, fist-pumping set.

Shape Culture pres. Enzo is Burning

When: Saturday 3rd February 2024

Where: Bonobo Bar And Canteen in Chester

Shape Culture returns to Chester’s Bonobo Bar And Canteen, bringing along Enzo is Burning to pack your Saturday night with hours and hours of house, tech house, and minimal tunes. 

The venue, with cocktails and a solid sound system, brings Enzo is Burning as well as residents and friends for tunes from 10pm up until 4am. Check out this somewhat new venue in the best way you can: by heading over and dancing well into the night to banging tunes.

Alcohol FREE Rave

When: Friday 19th January 2024

Where: Heaven Swansea in Swansea

Whether you’re partaking in dry January, are sick of the hangxiety, or want to try something new, alcohol-free raving can be a great idea. Both DJs and ravers are giving it a go, and many say they prefer it as they can enjoy it more and have a clear head in the morning.

Heaven in Swansea brings its first SOBA RAVE with 0% alternatives for lager, cider, wines, prosecco, and spirits, with all alcohol removed from the venue. The rave goes down from 9pm until 2am, and will be soundtracked by Greg P, playing funky, soulful, and disco house. It’ll be brilliant.

Where: Blackstone Street Warehouse in Liverpool

After selling out in under an hour, GOLFOS added a second date at Blackstone Street Warehouse, one of the best clubs in Liverpool. GOLFOS is a collaboration between PAWSA and Dennis Cruz, who'll be performing an impressive and electrifying 4-hour B2B set.

The two have been working together on music since 2018 and their live performances together are nothing short of pure energy, with the two bouncing ideas off each other and sharing that energy between them and the crowd.

Both huge names on the scene, and with PAWSA being one of your most-searched artists in 2023, these are some seriously hot tickets.

YES Presents Ghoulish residency

When: Saturday 27th Jan, Friday 23rd Feb, Friday 22nd Mar, Friday 26th Apr 2024

Where: YES in Manchester

Ghoulish, who released his debut EP on Skream’s label, IFEEL, in December last year, comes to YES for a four-week residency, one sate each month from January to April. 

As to be expected from an artist on Skream’s label, Ghoulish has a knack for genre-bending and was even featured in Mixmag’s best tracks of 2022 list with his tune Hold Tight.

From experimenting with sounds in his bedroom in Manchester to taking a residency at one of the best clubs in Manchester, his story so far has been incredible. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
