Summer has officially started! Yep, the first day of the summer season, which should hopefully bring us some sun and heat, was on the 20th of June. So, now's the time to get those open-air gigs and raves planned, and start cleaning up the barbecue.

Nottingham brand Groovebox is bringing some brilliant events to Derby. Last week in New On Skiddle, we showed you guys the upcoming Enzo Is Burning headline show, now we’re shining the light on Fat Tony.

A dance music legend with years of experience when it comes to getting crowds moving, Fat Tony is a DJ you can trust for a bouncing party. The house and tech house DJ lands in Electric Daisy, Derby’s newest outdoor venue, for a summer party that’ll surely be killer.

Hannah Laing presents doof

When: Friday 27th September 2024

Where: Concourse Depot Mayfield in Manchester

The queen is back! Scottish icon Hannah Laing comes to The Warehouse Project to take over the Concourse, saying on Instagram, "I have decided to do it in the Concourse as the intimate vibe and energy of this room is unmatched!"

Known for her incredible performances as well as tracks like ‘Good Love’ with RoRo and ‘FWTDJ (All Night Long)’, Hannah is adored for her brand of bouncy, high-energy DJ sets.

She comes to the Concourse for one night only with some special guests who’ll be announced soon. This one’s sure to be a highlight in Manchester’s clubbing calendar this year. Secure your place below.

Ultimate Rave Bingo // Nottingham // Outdoor Party

When: Friday 16th August 2024

Where: Binks Yard in Nottingham

Bingo has never been mad. Ultimate Rave Bingo comes to Binks Yard for an outdoor party with, of course, some truly wild bingo.

Featuring all sorts including Nigella The Gorilla on a mobility scooter, male strippers, confetti showers and balloon showers, plus unusual prizes like money, air fryers, nights away, and… sex toys, you don’t get bingo more unusual than this.

Last week, UKG massive Sammy Virji announced his tour. You lot were clearly ready for it as tickets for almost all dates have already sold out. But we still have tickets left for Liverpool at Blackstone Street Warehouse on Saturday 26th October, a huge warehouse venue that is easily one of the best clubs in Liverpool.

The London International Ska Festival 2025

When: Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th April 2025

Having just wrapped up this year’s bash, The London International Ska Festival has announced its return in 2025, coming to us on the Easter weekend.

The festival returns to celebrate all things ska, rocksteady, reggae, two-tone, and more. Leading the way since 1988, this legendary festival offers world-exclusive shows at some of London’s most iconic venues.

2025 will see the festival’s 37th anniversary, attracting artists and fans from over 50 countries. If you want to spread the cost of your ticket(s), payment plan options are on sale now as well as standard tickets.

Electric Bay Festival Sunday Afterparty

Where: The Foundry in Torquay

It’s not long now until Electric Bay Festival blesses us with sets from some of the best names in dance, house, DnB, rap, and more. To get you all giddy for the big day, and to keep the party going strong after the festival has wrapped up, they’ve announced this killer DnB afterparty at The Foundry.

Skepsis tops the bill here, joined by rising star [IVY], T-Lex, Gotham, and Extended Mags. if you want to keep the good vibes flowing after the festival, secure your tickets below for some drum and bass mayhem until 4am.

Live at the Park 2024

When: Friday 6th - Saturday 7th September 2024

Where: Victoria Park in Salisbury

Live at the Park is back and bigger than ever! Salisbury’s biggest independent outdoor music festival comes to the oldest park in the city, Victoria Park.

They've already confirmed pop band Scouting For Girls will be headlining the Friday night with UKG duo Artful Dodger for support. Symphonic Ibiza will perform on the Saturday, promising family fun as they fuse Ibiza dance anthems with live vocals, a DJ, and a live orchestra. More acts will be announced closer to the fest.

Food and drink at the festival will be provided by high-quality local vendors, covering a variety of foods, ensuring all those with dietary requirements are catered for.

If you’re in Leeds and have your finger on the pulse of clubbing culture, you’ll know TESTBED has been steadily announcing incredible events for later this year. They’ve already announced some unreal events with WAH, Teletech, and more, and most recently, they’ve announced Max Dean will be tearing up the decks in November.

Dean lands in TESTBED for his largest headline show yet with 2,500 ravers joining him. Kicking off at 2pm and running until 11pm, the house and tech house DJ is set to get crowds going wild following the sets from support who’ll be announced soon.

Animal Crossing Bank Holiday

UKG360 x Genesis: Badger & MPH

When: Friday 13th September 2024

Where: LAB11 in Birmingham

A new concept, UKG360 launches in Birmingham’s LAB11 with Badger and MPH headlining. As the name suggests, there’ll be a 360-degree booth in Boiler Room style, allowing ravers to get up close to their favourite garage and bass DJs.

Joining Badger and MPH will be Scruz B2B Kippo, Presti, and Genesis Collective, giving us an intimate event that'll kick off at 10pm and keep the tunes pumping until 4am.

Katy Ellis as Taylor Swift & Tom Whitehead as Ed Sheeran

When: Sunday 22nd September 2024

Where: Binks Yard in Nottingham

If you’re a fan of pop, this is definitely one to consider. The UK’s best Taylor Swift tribute with support from an Ed Sheeran tribute comes to Nottingham in September.

Even just quickly thinking about Swift and Sheeran, the number of massive hits between them is incredible. These are tracks just about everyone knows since they’ve shot to number one on the charts. So you know you’re going to know just about every song.

Since we all know that getting tickets to the Eras tour is next to impossible, we think this event will hit the spot nicely.
