Next week, we see the much-welcomed return of indoor hospitality, including the reopening of our dearly beloved live music venues, as we reach the next checkpoint in the governments 'Roadmap out of Lockdown' on Monday 17th May 2021.
Yes, that's right - live music is back! And boy are we glad!
Somewhat predictably, we've seen an influx of new events across Skiddle in the past seven days. From socially distanced festivals to huge outdoor raves, and intimate gigs in independent music venues nationwide - there's plenty to get stuck into as restrictions continue to be eased throughout 2021.

Nu Future presents Jamie Jones
When: Sunday 30th May 2021
Where: Lamex Stadium in Stevenage
Hot Creations label boss and two time DJ Award winner, Jamie Jones is set to perform a rip-roaring live set at the Lamex Stadium in Stevenage this May, as part of Nu Future's Phase One Summer Stadium Series.
Supporting the world-renowned Welsh house producer at the upcoming COVID compliant event, Hot Creations collaborator Ben Sterling will appear back-to-back with hotly tipped Manchester DJ Mason Maynard, with further performances coming from Jaden Thompson and Fleur Shore.

Brighter Days Festival - Mode in the Park with Patrick Topping
When: Sunday 4th July 2021
Where: Herrington Country Park in Sunderland
A 10-hour house and techno festival is coming to the North East of England this summer - Brighter Days presents Mode in the Park.
The inaugural one-day festival, which is confirmed to take over Sunderland's Herrington Country Park on Sunday 4th July, will deliver live sets from a host of high-profile DJ names. Amongst the headliners of the debut event are the likes of Trick head honcho, Patrick Topping, big room rave hero Mella Dee, Mele, Sorley, Alex Virgo, rising talent Jaguar and many more.
Revellers will be welcomed through the gates of the brand-new festival from noon, with live music running through until 10 pm.

Where: The Concorde 2 in Brighton
Deep-rooted drum n bass label, Hospitality has announced a terrifying bass rave at Brighton's Concorde 2 this October, to celebrate the weekend of All Hallows Eve.
Ticket holders can expect all hell to break loose when the clock strikes 11 pm on Friday 29th October, as the menacing sound of D'n'B takes over the historic nightspot. Harvesting the souls of all who dare enter via the venues huge in-house sound system, trusted selectors Metrik, Etherwood, Grafix, Degs and Lens will put their supernatural powers to work on the decks until the early hours of Saturday morning.

Terminal V Summer Series: Charlotte De Witte
When: Saturday 21st August 2021
Where: Royal Highland Showground in Newbridge
One of the world's most assiduous techno producers, prolific DJ Charlotte De Witte will make the journey over from her native Belgium to the Scottish capital this August, for a very special Terminal V Summer Series performance.
Appearing live in front of up 5,000 keen ravers as part of the new series, which sees Terminal V moving out of its usual warehouse habitat and into the summer sun for a limited run of outdoor parties, De Witte will drop some of her biggest and hardest tracks, the likes of 'Sgadi Li Mi', 'Doppler' and her recent remix of Eats Everything's 'Space Raiders'.
Tearing up the new open-air venue alongside the Belgian superstar, punters can also expect to witness sets from fellow techno aficionados, Frazi.er, Len Faki, Ø [Phase], ADIEL, Matrixxman and Stephen Brown.

Life in the Park Festival: Jamie Jones

Where: Brighton Rugby Club in Brighton
Get used to seeing Jamie Jones' name popping up everywhere this summer. In addition to heading out to basically every dance destination across the world in 2021, the in-demand DJ has recently also confirmed his attendance at one of the UK biggest series of open-air dance events - Brighton's LiFE in the Park Festival.
The month-long outdoor event series, developed by the team behind The Arch, one of southern Englands most iconic rave spaces, will feature a host of residencies from influential dance brands and artists throughout the summer season. Sankeys Manchester Opening Party
When: Friday 9th July 2021
Where: Victoria Warehouse Basement in Manchester
Iconic Manchester dance brand, Sankeys returns to the fore this July, throwing its first live party in over a year at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse Basement.
Not known for doing things by halves, the team behind the renowned Manchester party brand have curated an evening of live dance music from some of the hottest and most respected names in the scene. Appearing across Sankeys 7-hour opening event, those in attendance will be spoilt to mighty sets from Magda, Oxia, Reboot, OD Muzique, Jimmy Switch and local favourite, Ellesse.

Where: Victoria Warehouse Stretford in Stretford
The Hacienda House Party returns to Manchester over the May Bank Holiday for two extra special one-off shows at the city's colossal Victoria warehouse venue.
Scheduled to appear live at Hacienda House Party IV, headliners the Hacienda Classical, including Hacienda hero Graeme Park, and techno trailblazers Orbital will each perform a number of the former clubs most recognisable anthems to a limited and socially distanced crowd on Friday 28th and Sunday 30th May.
Supporting both bill toppers across the weekend are the likes of New Order bassist Peter Hook, DJ Paulette, Jon Dasilva, A Guy Called Gerald and Justin Robertson.

Square One - Phase Two - Summer shows
When: Saturday 3rd July - Sunday 15th August
Where: Square One in Manchester
Manchester's latest COVID compliant and open-air venue, Square One has recently announced its second phase of summer shows, set to run from early July to mid-August this year.
The huge, yet-to-be-opened, outdoor arena, located just a five-minute walk from Piccadilly Train Station, has already made clear its intentions of becoming the city's hottest clubbing destination in 2021, by announcing its impressive first phase of opening events. Confirmed to perform live throughout phase one are the likes of FUSE boss Enzo Siragusa, Mella Dee, Denis Sulta and Hot Since 82 to name a few.

Record label, online community, radio show and event promotion brand - DnB Allstars is a familiar name amongst the junglists and bass heads of the UK.
Taking their reputable name on the road in 2021, the Allstar family are working hard to bring a score of upcoming and established talents to towns and cities across the British Isles, for some down and dirty drum n bass raves.
From Bristol, Brighton and Exter in the south, to Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle in the north - the DnB Allstar tour will take in a large cross-section of venues and event spaces, with names such as Bladerunner, Alcemist, Goddard, DRS, Aries, Gray and more all set to takeover selection duties.

Cream x Circus presents Sonny Fodera

Where: Bramley Moore Dock in Liverpool
Favourable Aussie-born DJ and producer, Sonny Fodera has announced another additional date at Liverpool's Bramley Moore Docks this October, as part of his forthcoming UK tour.
In partnership with trusted local dance brands Cream and Circus, Fodera will now perform on back-to-back dates at the huge riverside warehouse space, which was recently the site of one of the UK's first COVID pilot events.
Appearing live on Friday 22nd October, the inimitable mixmaster will spin some of his most popular records, such as 'Turn Back Time' and 'Wired' ft. Ella Eyre, before returning on Saturday 23rd October to play in front of a sold-out crowd.

Benjamin Francis Leftwich live

English singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich has recently announced a huge tour of the UK, running through February and March in 2022.
Embarking on a 26-date run of shows in support of his fourth studio album, To Carry A Whale set for release on Friday 18th June via Dirty Hit Records (Pale Waves, Wolf Alice, The 1975, BEABADOOBEE).
Arriving at Liverpool venue, Leaf on Monday 28th February, those who acquire tickets for the event can expect to hear Benjamin performing tracks from his critically acclaimed back catalogue, including albums Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm and Gratitude, as well as his new material.
