New electronic festival We Are FSTVL launches in May

2013 will see the birth of We Are FSTVL, a brand new 15,000 capacity dance festival taking place in a former WW1 Essex airfield in May.

Bringing together the biggest names in electronic dance music alongside some of the world’s leading club brands and labels, the inaugural festival will play host to over 70 acts across 10 stages and arenas over one day.
 
Among the first confirmed names are heavyweights including Cocoon boss Sven Väth and Ricardo Villalobos, who'll be bringing the trademark Cocoon Heroes sound alongside Martinez and Sascha Dive.
 
The Crosstown Rebels crew will be descending en masse with a line-up that reads like a who’s who of their leading DJs and producers, including Art Department, Subb-An, Amirali and label founder Damian Lazarus. Look out for a special appearances from Innervisions’ Dixon and Wagon Repair’s Mathew Johnson.
 
Mulletover will be hosting their first ever rave in a crop circle with Kerri Chandler, Joy Orbison, Huxley, Waifs N Strays and more alongside heralded underground deep house and minimal tech Ibiza night Kehakuma, who'll be hosting a Japanese themed party with The Martinez Brothers, Guy Gerber, RPR Soundsystem, Nick Curly, Matthias Tanzamann and others.
 
Crèche will be putting on a typically forward-thinking underground line up with MK, No Artificial Colours, PBC Street Gang, Digitaria and Mark Jenkyns alongside fellow Sunday stalwarts, Secret Sundaze who will be taking over Tropix with Deetron, Delano Smith, James Priestly and Giles Smith while the Kigu crew will be throwing an Igloo Rave with Dusky, Terry Farley and more.
 
Taking place over a sprawling 122 acre former WW1 airfield in Upminster, Essex – a 20 minute train journey from Central London – the festival will site will festure custom built structures go give each arena its own distinctive identity.

Expect to see an arena made entirely out of shipping containers, a 2,000 capacity beach arena inspired by a tiki paradise and a secret crop circle rave, each with its own set of LED video walls, state of the art lasers and Funktion One Sound systems.
