New indie night Slow Rush brings the hottest emerging bands, guest DJs, and more to a brand new venue on Glasgow’s legendary Sauchiehall Street.
Slow Rush is a brand-new Thursday-night indie club which launches tomorrow night (Thursday 7th March). The club has found a home in the 200-capacity basement of Sauchiehall Street’s newest venue, Dannsa.
A welcome alternative to the usual offering, Slow Rush is about showcasing cutting-edge indie bands monthly as well as welcoming monthly guest DJs (previous guests including Carl Barât of The Libertines and Young Fathers), and monthly themed parties. Expect to hear the likes of Tame Impala, MGMT, The Last Dinner Party, Idles, Fontaines D.C., Haim, and all that good stuff.
Better still, Slow Rush makes going out and discovering your new favourite artists that much better with £2.50 spirit mixers and £3 pints every single week!
Kicking it all off with a bang, Slow Rush’s launch party goes down tomorrow night with The Zebecks, an emerging band from the Highlands. The energetic indie rock lads are set to hypnotise Glasgow with their high-octane bangers and catchy melodies.
The perfect new night for live music fans, students, and those who are constantly looking for the best new music, Slow Rush focuses on Scottish talent, and the first 50 tickets for its March events are free. Follow Slow Rush’s brand page to be the first to know about their future events.
Tickets for Slow Rush’s launch party with The Zebecks are on sale now for just £5. Secure yours at the bottom of this page to support Glasgow’s scene and discover your next favourite band.
