Two heavyweights in their own right, Ocean Colour Scene and Boyzone are set to appear at Hastings Pier over the August bank holiday weekend.
The iconic 19th-century venue has a fascinating history, having played host to the likes of The Clash, Jimi Hendrix and The Who, as well as being the location of Syd Barrett's last show with Pink Floyd. More recently, the venue saw Dizzee Rascal, Happy Mondays, Madness and more perform over the 2016 Hastings Pier Weekender.
This year, pop heroes Boyzone will take to the pier on Friday 25th August. Nearly a quarter of a century since their debut album Said And Done was released, the Irish lads will be offering a nostalgia-soaked affair, as they look back over their extensive back catalogue of hits, playing the likes of 'No Matter What', 'Love Me For A Reason' and 'Words' amongst many others.
Taking place on Saturday 26th August, Day Tripper, curated by Ocean Colour Scene, will see performances from Peter Hook and The Light, who will be playing New Order and Joy Division greats, as well as one of Britain's most respected tribute acts, The Bootleg Beatles. Ocean Colour Scene will be playing their seminal album, Moseley Shoals in full as part of their set.
