The Midweek Blues have hit us. It's partially to with our office do at the weekend, scrap that it's everything to do with our office do at the weekend, so we've had to go for a gentler approach to the sounds that sift through the speakers on the office stereo. Enter Liam Frost's charming pop folk opus from 2009, We Ain't Got No Money, Honey, But We Got Rain (stream On Spotify below).
Frost's beguiling folksy pop is exactly what we needed to sort our head our after a weekend of countryside hedonism and dodgy dressing, the kind of melancholy music that makes all those bad things and clouded judgements feel a million miles away now. Nice one for that Liam.
He's the headline turn when one of our favourite venues celebrate their Birthday on Monday 20th January, Sound Control. You can read all about their planned celebrations here.
