Ohm Sweet Ohm aptly bring a double header of solid line ups to Steel City, reigniting their presence in the city this Autumn at Plug.
The venue itself has played host to some of the top bands that circulate the globe, but this time its time for a squad of underground goliaths to exert rip-roaring havoc on the prime rave space.
For the first of their Autumn soirees, a trio of seriously hot talents led by Special Request (the estranged alias of Paul Woolford) make their Sheffield bow.
Paul Woolford, responsible for hits like last years runaway success 'Untitled' and cult classic 'Erotic Discourse', has also been enjoying equally as much reverence from his alternate moniker Special Request (responsible for this rework of 'Hackney Parrot' below).
Taking a slightly alternative route, Woolford as Special Request smashes out hardcore jungle rooted beats not dissimilar to the ones that reverberated across the Pirate Radio waves in the early nineties.
Reverting back to the present day are the dark workings of Trikk, a Portuguese producer who's been making waves with solid fist pumpers conveying a deep house aesthetic with jabbing techy basslines.
Being signed to leading imprints Man Make Music, Hotflush and Pet recordings prove to outline his outstanding talents (displayed in this RBMA x Boilleroom mix below) that are quickly gaining the recognition they deserve.
Sheffield born Squarehead holds the Steel City fort. The Ohm Sweet Ohm resident's recently returned from a high profile Zoo Project appearance spinning some house from the deeper recesses of the genre that are bound to warm things up nicely when he mans the decks at Plug. Grab your tickets here.
Man Make Music continue their Ohm Sweet Ohm presence when label don George Fitzgerald heads up this stellar bill. His productions drop somewhere between the dimensions of bass wise house and Berlin's local delicacy techno, where he's recently been doing the rounds, airing the likes of his 'Plimpton' rework, whilst crafting his sought after longplayer due out later this year.
Another revered producer, Shenoda joins him armed with his back catalogue of house smashers that include his industrial beats on Hypercolour, his collaboration with Huxley for the 'Chatsworth EP' through to the more recent soul drenched monster 'Leslie Crowther' below.
His heavy, no nonsense grooves racked up in garage zest are synonymous with raving fundamentals, gaining the revered producer maximum dancefloor impact whenever he takes the floor.
The night see's yet more label bosses locking heads when Ten Thousand Yen mastermind Doc Daneeka crops up on the bill, whilst the soulful lashings of ambient house exponent Pedram round things off with plenty of hedonistic charm. Grab your tickets here.
